In 1967, Smithers-Oasis diversified its foam technology and entered the orthopedic field to make foot impressions. In 1980, they refined their formulation, creating a new foam that was easily compressible and engineered for accurate podiatric modeling; and in 1984, BIO-FOAM® Impression Foam was born.
Our goals for BIO-FOAM’s B2B website design were simple: increase awareness of their product, make it easy for users to find a dealer, and position BIO-FOAM as the subject matter experts. The product is relatively straightforward, so our main objective was to lay out all the information cleanly and concisely to help visitors quickly grasp the benefits.
While the client provided plenty of photography that displayed the product in and out of the box, they were missing one key photo series: how-to use their product. Seeing an opportunity for improvement, we jumped to the task, taking instructive pictures to guide visitors on how to use BIO-FOAM. These step-by-step (no pun intended) photos are the backbone of the website, providing a clear representation of product functionality.
