OTS Truck Centers started from humble beginnings, and they have grown to be a leader in the transportation industry. They needed a new website to reflect their status. Following our 4D process: Define, Design, Develop, and Deploy, we got right to work, learning the ins and outs of the trucking world. Competitor research and collaborative meetings were key to strategizing how we could set OTS Truck Centers apart from other used semi truck dealers.
The two main goals of the new custom website are to sell trucks and buy trucks. Calls to action follow users throughout the inventory pages, making it easy for them to get in contact with the right department at any moment. The custom-built product database is set up to be maintained by OTS Truck internal team. We also broke down the truck selling process, helping people understand just how simple it can be to sell your semi truck.
While all our sites are responsive, this audience skewed heavily toward drivers on the road which meant one thing, we must build OTS Truck Centers a mobile first website. The homepage begins with an intuitive filtering system, allowing potential buyers to see the exact number of trucks in stock and the location of those trucks. From a design perspective, eye-catching colors and sharp angles help grab users’ attention at any scale. Large, clean photography draws people in, and a clear hierarchy of content sets them on the right path. A robust filtering and sorting online inventory system ensures customers can drill down to the exact make and model they’re searching for. In addition to the custom design and development, we also wrote all the copy on the site, telling OTS Truck Centers’ story in a compelling and informative way.
