The mission of the Akron Urban League (AUL) is to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Summit County, particularly African Americans, by advocating and facilitating programs that are economically and educationally transformational, impacting their lives and the lives of future generations.
Not only did the Evolve Marketing team design the website for the Akron Urban League Justice & Equality Giving Society, but we also designed their logo. The symbol is seen as representing the connection to all living things; that we are all built from the same blueprint. We felt this symbol of equality fit well for Akron Urban League’s new initiative, and better yet, it is made up of seven circles to represent the seven levels of giving. All circles overlap, representing unity and togetherness.
The Giving Society was born in tandem with the Black Lives Matter movement, providing donors with an opportunity to empower their community and change lives. The website outlines the society’s story, programs, purpose, and giving options. Visitors are given a full picture of how their donation will be used to help the community.
After completing the logo design, Evolve Marketing saw an opportunity. The Giving Society had excellent ambitions, but no website to guide the program. Using WordPress CMS, we created a gorgeous website with a quick turnaround integrated with Salsa Labs CRM to allow for a seamless donation process. We also created a “Donors Page” that allows AUL to highlight all the amazing donors who have supported this important cause.
