Established in 1989, the mission of National Interstate Insurance is to develop and execute industry-leading insurance programs focused on customers in specialty niche insurance markets related to the commercial transportation industry.
The main goal of the National Interstate Insurance Careers website redesign was to represent the company as an organization with a vibrant culture while encouraging job seekers to apply for jobs. This is a company consistently awarded for being a top workplace and the site needed to reflect that.
After our initial research, we recommended a few key elements that we thought would best tell the National Interstate Insurance story: a clean, fresh, modern design, brief but meaningful messaging, and most importantly, photos of real employees.
By using only photos of real employees and not stock photography, we were able to tell a visual story of the company culture, rather than relying on users reading a lot of text. This gives the site an inviting feel that encourages users to interact by viewing even more photos and learning about the perks of joining the National Interstate Insurance team.
The custom developed website also features helpful details for job seekers, like company perks and benefits, information about the company, and an introduction to the team for potential employees. Throughout the site, we included prominent buttons prompting users to view available jobs. The job portal has also been skinned to match the careers website homepage, creating a seamless experience.
