Albrecht Incorporated is a locally owned and managed commercial real estate company with over 4 million square feet of retail, industrial, and office space. Established in 1929 by Fred W. Albrecht (the founder of Acme grocery stores), Albrecht Incorporated has properties in Summit, Stark, Cuyahoga, Portage, and Medina counties - and is looking to grow.
Albrecht Incorporated came to us with a clear vision for their B2B web development project. They needed their website to display all available properties and highlight their rich family history in the area. They also wanted it to convey professionalism, experience, and quality. Armed with an address list and a Dropbox full of archival photography, we got to work.
We utilized a video background on the homepage to show the size and scale of the locations they’re selling. Four custom icons help break down the client’s property types and guide visitors to their respective destinations. On internal pages, the icons sit just above the footer, reminding visitors of their options. We kept the overall site modern but injected historical photography where applicable to create an intentional juxtaposition that reminds clients of Albrecht Incorporated’s long history in the area.
Visitors can see the latest listings from Albrecht Incorporated with an interactive map for each property type. The side-by-side nature of the map allows for different browsing options: a collection of thumbnails and addresses on the left or a live map of the area on the right. Each listing also has its own page with loads of helpful information, photography, and a custom contact form.
